My name is Madhu Sapkota born at Gorkha district one of the Isolated villages and had my schooling at the next village headquarter which is 2 hours walk every day to get athe school. While I was doing my lower secondary schooling, I got an opportunity to work as village coordinator as well as a teacher for a literacy course funded and runned by " Save the Children" which was a great opportunity for me to get to know about Social works. I went to school during the day for my schooling, and did teach to the village women in the evening. The literacy course for the village women (Mothers) was targeted about how to save the children, specially from the diseases as health was the major problem in the villages.

Through HFW sponsorship programs, you can become a partner in lasting change for Nepal. HFW offers three avenues for sponsorship: Child School Sponsorship, adult women group sponsorship, health promotion program sponsorship.

HFW programs help rural Nepali women build the capacity to improve their own lives, claim a space in the public sphere, and create positive change in their communities. Women’s groups are the heart of social change.
Volunteering is the most fundamental act of citizenship and philanthropy in our society. It is offering time, energy and skills of one's own free will. It is an extension of being a good neighbor, transforming a collection of houses into a community, as people become involved in the improvement of their surroundings and choose to help others.
By caring and contributing to change, volunteers decrease suffering and disparity, while they gain skills, self-esteem, and change their lives. People work to improve the lives of their neighbors and, in return, enhance their own.
